Ma Mare Pani — SWAR
by Sunil Shakya
Ma Mare Pani is a SWAR arrangement Sunil tabbed out from his own listening notes. The PDF below holds the full chord chart, capo position, strumming pattern, and a couple of fingering notes for the chorus.
Key of C, no capo, with a C-G-Am-F progression that anyone who's been through the public-domain folk seed catalogue will recognise — same shape vocabulary, different feel. The F is full-barre at the first fret; if that's still hard, the Fmaj7 voicing (drop the index finger from the full F) sounds fine in this context and saves your hand for the rest of the song.
The tempo is forgiving (80 BPM) and the strumming sits comfortably in the basic D D U U D U pattern. The hard part is the dynamic curve — the verse stays under the vocal, the chorus opens up about thirty percent louder.
