Ranga
by Sunil Shakya
Ranga is one of the brighter, faster arrangements in Sunil's PDF folder. Key of A, no capo, 96 BPM, with the A-E-F#m-D vocabulary that anyone who's worked through the Parelima tutorial will already have under their fingers.
The F#m is the only full barre chord; everything else is open. If you've been avoiding F#m by capo-ing up and playing out of E-shape, this is a good song to come back to the real barre chord — the song's pulse and tempo carry you through the transitions before your hand has time to second-guess.
The strumming is a driving D D U U D U at 96 BPM. Hit the downstrokes a hair harder than the upstrokes. The chorus opens up about twenty percent louder than the verse — listen to the dynamic markings in the PDF, not just the chord chart.
